Back by popular demand will be the Lost Canyons Friday Night Dinner’s with live music and Four Brix Wine.  Special Friday Night menu including the very popular Pasta Bar will be a great compliment to Four Brix, a local Ventura County Winery. Live Music allows us to relax during the perfect summer night evenings over-looking the grand vistas of Santa Susana Mountains. Entertainment starts on the the first Friday in June and will follow every Friday through September.

Greetings friends and fans of Four Brix Winery.  The second quarter of 2010 was a busy one for Four Brix Winery.  We poured our wines at many events: Paso Wine Fest, L.A. Wine Fest, Casa Pacifica in Camarillo, Ojai Wine Festival, Calabasas/Malibu Wine Fest, Sunset Magazine in Menlo Park, Wine Country RV in Paso Robles, and the Citrus Balloon Festival in Santa Paula just to name a few.  I guess you could say we were running, but it was also so much fun to meet so many great people.

The continuing Friday night dinners at Lost Canyons Golf Club has been a great way to experience Four Brix Wines and Simi Valley’s wonderful surroundings.  These Friday night dinners will continue through September.  Reservations are not needed but it doesn’t hurt to put in a special request.

The Brix Heads are planning a few events this summer/fall including a progressive dinner, a wine blending party, and our next release party to showcase our Spanish Rioja-style blend “Temptress.”  The Brix Head progressive dinner will showcase our wines paired with local restaurant creations.  The dinner will include shuttle transportation for guests between all restaurants that evening.  The Brix Head blending party will take place at our tasting room in Thousand Oaks.  We will provide the single varietals of wines and let you create your own blend and become wine makers for a day.  And, because we support any excuse to have a party, plans are in the works for our second release party  in late October or early November.  More details to follow on all of these events.

We just finished blending the 2009 Rhondezvous, Temptress, and Zeductive.  Scosso will be blended in about a month or so.  All of the 2009 wines are tasting amazing and we are looking forward to their release next year. We recently bottled the 2008 Spanish Rioja-style blend, Temptress.  It is a blend of Tempranillo, Mourvedre, Grenache, Petite Sirah, and Zinfandel.  We are anticipating release of this Spanish blend soon and with a retail of just twenty-eight dollars, Temptress will tempt your taste buds.  We also have a special treat for wine club members.  We have a select amount of our 2008 Gold Hawk Vineyard, Russian River Valley, Petite Sirah that we bottled on its own.  This will be in limited quantities so pre orders can be taken. If you are a Petite Sirah fan, this will not disappoint.

We will be pouring with the rest of the Ventura County Wine Trail at Camarillo Art & Jazz Festival on September 25 and Pacific Wine and Food Festival on January 6-9.
