Wine Fest</a>, <a title="Casa Pacifica" href="http://www.cpwineandfoodfestival.com/" target="_blank">Casa Pacifica in Camarillo</a>, <a title="Ojai Wine Festival" href="http://www.ojaiwinefestival.com/" target="_blank">Ojai Wine Festival</a>, <a title="Calabasas Malibu Wine Festival" href="http://valleywinefestival.com/" target="_blank">Calabasas/Malibu Wine Fest</a>, Sunset Magazine in Menlo Park, <a href="http://www.winecountryrvresort.com/">Wine Country RV</a> in Paso Robles, and the <a title="Citrus Balloon Festival" href="http://www.citrusclassicballoons.com/" target="_blank">Citrus Balloon Festival</a> in Santa Paula just to name a few.  I guess you could say we were running, but it was also so much fun to meet so many great people.</p>
<p>The continuing Friday night dinners at <a title="Lost Canyons" href="http://fourbrixwine.com/blog/lost-canyons-friday-night-summer-wine-pairings-starts-june-4th/" target="_blank">Lost Canyons</a> Golf Club has been a great way to experience Four Brix Wines and Simi Valley&#8217;s wonderful surroundings.  These Friday night dinners will continue through September.  Reservations are not needed but it doesn&#8217;t hurt to put in a special request.</p>
<p><a href="http://fourbrixwine.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/DSC_0006.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-692" title="Rhondezvous" src="http://fourbrixwine.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/DSC_0006-150x300.jpg" alt="" width="120" height="240" /></a> The <a title="Brix Heads" href="http://fourbrixwine.com/heads.php" target="_blank">Brix Heads</a> are planning a few events this summer/fall including a progressive dinner, a wine blending party, and our next release party to showcase our Spanish Rioja-style blend “Temptress.”  The Brix Head progressive dinner will showcase our wines paired with local restaurant creations.  The dinner will include shuttle transportation for guests between all restaurants that evening.  The Brix Head blending party will take place at our tasting room in Thousand Oaks.  We will provide the single varietals of wines and let you create your own blend and become wine makers for a day.  And, because we support any excuse to have a party, plans are in the works for our second release party  in late October or early November.  More details to follow on all of these events.</p>
<p><a href="http://fourbrixwine.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/DSC_0006-2-e1282323275854.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-691" title="Smitten" src="http://fourbrixwine.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/DSC_0006-2-166x300.jpg" alt="" width="166" height="300" /></a><br />
We just finished blending the 2009 Rhondezvous, Temptress, and Zeductive.  Scosso will be blended in about a month or so.  All of the 2009 wines are tasting amazing and we are looking forward to their release next year. We recently bottled the 2008 Spanish Rioja-style blend, Temptress.  It is a blend of Tempranillo, Mourvedre, Grenache, Petite Sirah, and Zinfandel.  We are anticipating release of this Spanish blend soon and with a retail of just twenty-eight dollars, Temptress will tempt your taste buds.  We also have a special treat for wine club members.  We have a select amount of our 2008 Gold Hawk Vineyard, Russian River Valley, Petite Sirah that we bottled on its own.  This will be in limited quantities so pre orders can be taken. If you are a Petite Sirah fan, this will not disappoint.</p>
<p>We will be pouring with the rest of the <a title="VCWT" href="http://www.venturacountywinetrail.com/" target="_blank">Ventura County Wine Trail</a> at <a title="Camarillo Art and Jazz" href="http://camarilloartandjazz.com/" target="_blank">Camarillo Art &amp; Jazz Festival</a> on September 25 and <a title="Pacific Food and Wine Festival" href="http://www.pacificwineandfood.com/" target="_blank">Pacific Wine and Food Festival</a> on January 6-9.</p>
<p>And because we know how difficult it is to keep these wines in our wine racks without drinking them, here are some new locations that carry Four Brix Wines:</p>
<p><strong>First Street Liquor</strong><a href="http://fourbrixwine.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/DSC_0005.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-690" title="Scosso" src="http://fourbrixwine.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/DSC_0005-144x300.jpg" alt="" width="144" height="300" /></a><br />

<p><strong>Paradise Pantry</strong><br />

<a title="Paradise Pantry" href="http://www.paradisepantry.com/" target="_blank">www.paradisepantry.com</a><br />

<p><strong>Liquid Wine &amp; Spirits</strong><br />

<p>We are overwhelmed with the support we have received in the short time that our wines have been released.  Harvest time is fast-approaching and we look forward to rolling up our sleeves to create wines that truly reflect our passion for great tasting wines.  In the meantime, come visit us at our official tasting room at <a title="The WineYard" href="http://www.wineyardinc.com/" target="_blank"><strong>The Wine Yard</strong></a>.</p>
<p>Cheers!</p>
<p>Tracy &amp; Jim Noonan, Lora &amp; Steve Simonsgaard, and Karen &amp; Gary Stewart</p>
